ARTS CENTER FOUNDATION
The Arts Center Foundation supports young people in the arts throughout Kentuckiana. Most of these young artists come from all over the area and take part in programs at the Oldham County Schools Arts Center facility which is open to all youth in the Kentuckiana area. The Arts Center's Programs are truly visionary – all students have the support needed to pursue the performing and visual arts fields in college and the professional world. For the students that do not choose an arts pathway beyond graduation, the Arts Center has validated that a rigorous arts focus contributes greatly to their success in the classroom and prepares them to accomplish other dreams.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
Youth Theater Program | The Youth Theater Program provides students with a well-rounded pre-professional experience working with staff that are experts in their field. Students work with professional directors, choreographers, music directors, and technical staff to create ticketed theater productions
Merit & Need Based Scholarship Program | This extensive program allows us to reach the largest number of Oldham students, making a tremendous impact on many who would otherwise be unable to participate in the arts.
District Arts Services | The Arts Center houses one of the most comprehensive arts programs in the nation exclusively for community residents. Services include campus orchestras, daycare satellite classes, annual artist in residence, all county events, school assemblies, theatre costume rentals, Performance Hall and Art Gallery reservations, and technical theatre support. Fundraising makes these opportunities free of cost to district students and the community.
SUMMER CAMPS | Over 50 Summer Camps and classes are presented annually in music, dance, theatre, and visual arts. They allow our students to train year-round in their discipline and in many cases, students are introduced to an arts experience for the first time.
PERFORMANCE TROUPE DANCE PROGRAM | The Performance Troupe Dance Program is led by a nationally recognized faculty. Students and community members engage in sequential tracks to prepare for post-secondary study and the professional world, while developing a lifelong passion for arts and culture.
LEADERSHIP & PERFORMANCE FOR STRINGS | This program is structurally designed to set our students up for success as soloists, chamber musicians, and orchestral members. The LaPS program builds confident young leaders within our string community, by providing a nurturing environment and the tools for students to grow as performers.
CERAMICS STUDIO | Our acclaimed Ceramics Studio has 75 weekly students and offers 6 seasonal workshops for over 400 participants. Many students have been chosen to participate in Governor's School for the Arts and Scholars Programs, Arts on the Green, and sell their work at local shops including Mercantile on Main and Gallery 104.
CHILDREN'S CHOIR | In the Children's Choir elementary and middle school students develop vocal technique by studying tone quality, breath support, diction, and intonation. Singers learn the best of children's choral literature and enjoy being a part of a group of young musicians who love to sing.
